I killed A buck this archery season with my bow,and my carbon arrow broke off in side the deer.I never heard this before, and I do not believe this but,I was told that the carbon from the arrow is bad and I should not eat the meat.Like I say,I donot believe this, but I thought I check with you all and get more opionions,If it is true, carbon arrows should be illeagal and not used anymore.thanks guys and good luck this season, mike

Their cuation stems from the possibility that there may be carbon splinters in the wound channel due to the fact that the arrow broke. It's always a good idea to check for splinters on carbon arrows even if it didn't break into two pieces. It's kinda like eating fish, just watch out for the bones!! I wouldn't throw it away, just trim around the "channel" and dig in!

Exactly! The carbon will not hurt you or the meat in any way. It is like a chicken bone to a dog.

Most likely you shot it were there isn't any real meat anyway. If it's a shoulder hit, then just clean up the meat around the wound channel.

Cheers,
Pete
