Went out with a couple friends two weeks ago. This is now an annual trip for us and is lots of fun. This year, there was 5 (counting two guides), it was DEAD till about 2 when the front started moving in. By 3 the geese were up and hitting the decoys. At one point there was hundreds of geese circling us, singles and small groups landing in the decoys, large groups buzzing us. The guides eventually stopped calling and just let us enjoy the moment! When the words "take em" were heard the music started :) I am not exactly very good with the shotgun so when I was able to get the second "hat trick" of my life, you could say I was estatic! After the shooting was over the one guide asked why I didn't reload a fourth round and shoot another goose. I was just too dang excited and didn't care :)
we ended up filling our limit about 90 minutes later.

I grew up in the midwest hunting waterfowl and I know the feeling. I sure to miss the days sitting under the cyclone of birds coming in. Gliding in, wings cupped, feet out. TAKE UM!!!!
A burning shoulder from a day of sky blasting never felt so good.

Congrats!!
