Can A Res Put In With A Non Res?

A buddy and I both have about the same number of moose points. He is a non resident and I am a resident. Can we put in together and share our points like some guys do with elk, deer, etc.? I have been looking, but can't find the answer. I'm assuming no, we can't do that. Thanks.
