Hi I am wondering if anyone has suggestions, for or against a camera to use with a spotting scope. Thanks in advance.

Do you plan on using an adapter or just holding the camera up to the eyepeice?
Tines up makes an adapter and also provides camera suggestions for it.

The key is to have a cam who's lens is small enough to see inside the scope completely. Larger sensor camera's like dslr's don't work through an eyepiece because they see around the eyepiece as much as through it.

The tine sup dot com scope)cam adaptor and their point and shoot kit are as simple and ready to go as you can get. Most all of their movies are shot with that setup. Pretty incredible footage on this years new movie Pure Addiction.

Another option is the Sony WX9. It has some of the best HD video you can get, but you have to glue on your own adaptor ring to work with the tines up setup.

Cheers,
Pete
