California State Funded Scholarships

I read where Jerry has signed a bill to allow illegals to apply for state funded scholarships. Am I missing something?? I don't live in California so I guess that is why I am confused.

I find it interesting though that we have some states passing laws trying to get rid of the illegals and here California is wanting to give them more free stuff. No wonder we can't get anything done in our country today.

It's gets worse then that in this socialist state. They raised the tution fees by a very good percentage at Jr. and state colleges. Those kids paying those fees, because they can not qualify for low income aid, are paying either 20% or 30% towards those free scholarships out of their tution fees.
It put a big damper on the middle income families trying to send their kid to college. Make to much money for free aid, and not enough to fully fund their kid's education.

I think the reason this sorry state continues to make it so inviting for freeloaders is job security, we have an excessive amount of public employees that want to keep their jobs. Many are needed and welcome but many are not and only add to the debt created by the freeloaders.

Besides CA, New Mexico and Texas are the only 2 other states that provide state-funded financial aid to illegal immigrants. Go figure since there run by Republican governors.

The vast majority of our bad laws are dreamed up by liberal democrats out of the L.A. or San Francisco districts catering to their minorty voters or bent wrist liberals. And the majority Democrat legislators go along with passing it.

That is true of both parties. What gets me on this one is that there was polls that showed that 82% of the people polled in CA. were against this and the Dems said "screw you" to that vast majority.

They got around that. The Dems here do not raise taxes. Instead they raise "fees" or bring in new fees to feed their coffers.

One of those new fees is that anyone living in a rural area that is protected from forest fires by Cal. fire must now pay an additional fee of $175.00 per year for fire protection. Any other buildings on the property will be assesed another 25 bucks each. Now they can take the general fund money that had been going to CAL. Fire and put it back in the general fund to spend on other liberal give away programs. But there was no taxes raised, it is a "FEE".
