I smell a nasty upset , the Mountain West and the country gets shocked as UNM Lobos notch thier belts with some cougar pelt!......Ok , ok maybe not , man this could get very ugly fast come game time , I'm hoping the Lobos just cover the spread which I believe was 28 points....

As much as I hate BYU, I think you're being really optimistic in the Lobos covering the point spread. I say that BYU slams on the gas and doesn't let up. They will cover the point spread with an added +7.

It's always an adventure!!!

With the weather being nasty as they predict, I think it favors the Lobos ground game. But, they still get whooped.

After a less than stellar performance against USU bronco gets the cougs up and ready for this one. They come out with a vengence, and stuff it right down NM throat.

BYU Cougars: 42
NM Homos: 10

If this game was in NM, I think it might be a bit closer, but since they are coming to the impenetrable fortress that is Lavell Edwards Stadium, I see BYU blowing UNM out of the water.

Congrats to NM for a hard fought game. They play as tough as anybody we have seen so far, and have quite the running game! But in the end, Hall to Collie was just too much...

BYU didn't hit the gas the way I thought they would . I can't say I'm happy but it's great for Mountain West Football to have have such a dominating team for the rest of the NCAA to see and deal with....And to think we let Bronco go up there, Rocky Long is a SCHMUCK!

Congrats to BYU and the Coug Fan Nation...

I underestimated the NM defense. They played great today. Ferguson was a beast as usual. Best of Luck to UNM the rest of the season. I wouldnt mind seeing them beat the Utes.

Easy there Tuff! It aint gonna happen. Utes and Cougs will meet undefeated in Rice Eccles for all the marbles and an undefeated season. It has the making for one of the best games ever played between the 2. I have to give you this much though. UNM has always given the Utes problems. It's a wait and see game now.

It's always an adventure!!!

I bet you were doing cartwheels after his back to back sacks late in the game! He is turning into one heck of a Linebacker.

Clawson was a freaking beast!! and I love that he is from Wales. haha. how many people actuall know where that is.

That game should of been 14-10 in middle of the fourth, what a bogus call.
Looks like money and having an undefeated team in a possible BCS game is more important than what the MWC claims as 'being fair and good sports.' Byu probably still would of won but that call definitely changed the momentum.
Oh well, good luck byu rest of the year, I think TCU is going to be a real test for them though.

They had two more tries at the endzone, one of them was a sure touchdown, but the ball was thrown about 3' behind the wide open receiver on 3rd down.

duthc,

Sounds like you're saying the ref. was in on making sure BYU won. "I'm not listening to you...you're crazy".(Nacho)

back 2 back sacks was pretty dang sweet. We had a lot of family from here in NM go up to the game, lots of happy Clawsons right now and it was even better watching them spank UNM.

I was at that game...the TD called back on NM was definitely a bad call, but I have to laugh at all the NMers here in NM (not anyone on here, but front page headline in the ABQ Journal and radio talk shows) talking it up like it was some sort of conspiracy. Was the bogus late hit called on BYU just a few plays earlier that put NM in BYU territory just meant to be a smoke screen for what the refs intended to do later? What about the bogus offensive pass interference called on Collie in the first half that took away a potential BYU score? Was it all done to cover-up their intent to take away any TD that NM might score? Those guys must be able to see into the future. One would think, with talent like that, they wouldn't be wasting their time reffing an MWC game.

Bad reffing is bad reffing, and MWC seems to have more than its share, but come on NMers, let's get over this persecution complex.

That being said, I have to admire the Lobo team for not rolling over. Good, tough, hard-fought game.
