Vortex and Cabelas Euro should be in the price range about $800 they were $999.99 when my buddy bought them 2 years ago from Gander Mountain.
I have seen them for around $800.00 since then, maybe they came out with a new redesigned model but there is still better glass to be had for the money.
For the money I don't know how you're going to beat the zen rays. Just got a pair of 8X43's ed2. I've never looked through the euro's, but I bet their not any better then the zen rays.
