This is a first for me. I've never found a shed with a bullet hole in it before.

A decent buck with a lot of potential

A lynx trying to make the moves on a pair of Canadian Geese. He was distracted by the drumming of a Ruffy. Later that day I came back to find Ruffy feathers instead of Goose feathers ;)

Wolf Kill???
Not much eatin off this cow. No scat around but probably the local wolves are what did her in. She's got a lot of grey, no doubt an older cow. Starting to stink really good. A bear is going to wake up any day now and think he died and went to heaven.

You're doing pretty good so far this year dude! Must've been a Lower Mainlander with buck fever, LOL.

Alot of bull Moose get punctures in their antlers from fighting during the rut. I would think a bullet hole would be a lot cleaner and not so ragged.

A few years ago, a guy I was hunting moose sheds with found a paddle with a bullet hole in it too. It was somewhat clean going in, but the exit hole was pretty jagged.

Yeah Looks like a bullet hole to me! Cool finds man!

Time in the hills is always worth more than money

dleonard,
I don't know how many moose paddles you've picked up over the years, but I can say I've picked up hundreds. I've seen many a broken or busted up paddle but I never seen a hole like this before. I'm quite certain it is a bullet hole.

I've only had six moose sheds, and of the six, four of them had punctures on the face of the palm from fighting with other bulls. None of those punctures went clear through, so I know they weren't bullet holes, but I have seen several that had holes punched clear through. I'm no expert, but I assume that a bullet would leave a clean round hole, at least on the entry side.

As always, I could be wrong (again).

HEY BADGEBOY!!!

YOU'VE GOT TO START DOING SOMETHING WITH THEM CANADIAN RATS!!!

THEY'RE EATING YOUR BONE!!!

THE ONLY bobcat!!!

Are those Shiras Moose up there too? Congrats on the finds. I found a bullet holed one once too that looked just like that. I haven't found a Moose shed yet this year.
