I am so jealous... love all your postings of some great bone collecting. The only bone collecting I'm am doing is my own.
I try and get a head start with becoming familiar with the natural lay of the land for hunting in the late summer. I feel the best way is to winter scout the bedding areas of high monster muleys in rugged, cliff terrain is by air.
My winter scouting starts in late Dec and goes through Early April. I am jealous of all the great shed hunting going on right now and wish I could join. With little spare time... and making sure the wife has some sense of balance. I only get to go WINTER SCOUTING (Skiing)if its at 5:00am. Similar to hunting, with skiing I have a group of guys that go up early 5:00am to hike up to Mt. Superior or Cardiff Ridge or Flagstaff ridge across from Alta. Some time I have hiked up around Solitude and Brighton. Winter is similar to summer scouting and hunting. I get up there prior to sunlight so we can get great photo shots in the morning, just like looking for bucks at first light. Then in less than an hour... the light is gone and photo session or scouting session is over.
I am trying to cross-over a photographer to take some wildlife photos with me and accompany me into the mule deer and elk scene.
Anyway, keep up the year-long scouting anyway you can.
Find some bone instead of break it!

NOT to offended anyone... this year I did find a spike shed while hunting in Colorado. I think I have a world record going here.... What'd you think?
