I was wondering what you guys think about bowtech's. I just purchased a 2003 patriot and I love it. What do you think compared to mathews or hoyt? Thanks in advance.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-26-04 AT 09:15PM (MST)[p]I also shoot the '03 patriot and love it. This is my first season using it and I am glad I bought it.

I have a 04 Patriot VFT. I have been bow hunting since 1978 and this is the BEST bow I have ever shot or owned. Bar none! There is absolutley no recoil at all and it fits me perfect. I would recommend it to anyone.

John, does yours have the dually cams or the freedom cams or ?? I am thinking about buying one of these in the dually and am wondering if the handshock will be too much.

I just bought a Liberty VFT about 3 weeks ago and I am loving it. I shot the Liberty, a Mathews Outback and a Hoyt(can't remember what model). The Liberty was extemely quiet and shock free when shooting it, it was also really smooth to draw. The Outback was similar in feel to the Liberty but I felt the Outback had a little more hand shock and a little tougher draw cycle. The liberty felt more comfortable to shoot so I went with it. I took one shot with the hoyt and the vibration was quite severe compared to the Bowtech and Mathews, It did not feel comfortable at all to me. I have only been hearing good things about the Bowtechs and will not hesitate to buy another one in the future.

all the same really. Good quality well built bows. Just a matter of choice.

If I was going to buy one today I would probably get a Bowtech. I'm shooting a Hoyt right now and still like it too.

Shooting a 2002 BlackKnightII. This bow rocks!! Of course, I am a spppeeeeed freak! Set up with some limbsavers, it is as quiet as anything out there. SMOKIN' FAST
