Other than these bows are uglier than a bucket of belly buttons does anyone have or heard of any reveiws on this bow, Looking for a new bow and was wondering how this one is performing.

Thanks

I have shot it several times, but did not buy it cuz I am not needing another new bow. It is the real deal, there has been some cam lean problems, but overall the bow is very good. Smooth, shock free, and VERY quiet. I don't think you would be dissappointed in it at all.

I shot it and wasn't impressed enough to want one. It has had some problems with a piece breaking at the pivot point midway on the limbs(the piece on the outside where the bolt goes through). It has been said that the piece is cast and not machined. I don't know if this is true or just a rumor from bowtech haters. Personally I would go with a Ross Cardiac or a Mathews Drenalin, they are lighter with a simple design and have a smother draw.

I've shot MANY bows over the years and have to say the Guardian is one of the quietest, and smoothest I've shot. Enough that I left Hoyt, after 25 years....It's the real deal, IMO. Haven't seen ANY cam lean on mine and/or mechanical issues. I ended up shooting one of my best 3D scores two weeks ago and was very comfortable with the new outfit. JMO

LAST EDITED ON Apr-07-07 AT 07:56PM (MST)[p]go to archerytalk.com and search for bowtech guardian... they have had a number of problems with the guardians with a 29" draw length or more.. apparently the bow has cam lean and in anything longer than a 29 inch draw the string leans in and makes contact with the cam.. i thought they had found a fix for it but I would double check.. all of the guys that shoot the guardian seem to love it..

I have one and love it. It is by far the quietest bow I've ever shot, and without shock. Its geometry is such that it holds steadier than my allegiances. Chasing hogs and exotics in February, animals would look at the noise made by the arrow striking the ground after it past through--they would not look towards the source of the shot. I've had zero problems with mine and probably have 2000 shots through it. At 71lbs/29"DL it spits out 416g arrows at 296fps and 386 arrows at 307fps. I never though my allegiances would take a back seat to anything. I was wrong.
