I hunted there a few years back for deer. I dont know where the caribou are but you could call a local shop on Kodiak, I think it is Cyr's sporting goods or something like that. The owner's name is like Cal. Just go to the AK website and I think they have the phone number there. I will try and dig up the number later today if you cant find it. hope this helps..... The caribou on kodiak are on the south east corner mostly. near sturgeon river, south of karluk river. i've never seen them, but know of several guys who have. open year round and you can shoot as many as you have a tag for. i imagine they'll taste different that mainland caribou.
