I live in SW Idaho and have been looking for boots for my 13 yr old for this years hunts. The prob is that he has grown 4" since Dec, and will likely grow another 2-3" before next year. I can't find any boots I can rely to keep his feet dry for under $100, even at the Bargain Cave in Cabelas.

I really don't mind used, so if anyone has some in 9.5D, that are not needed anymore please let me know.

I have an old pair of Danner/Cabelas in 9 for free, if nothing better comes up. I live in Nampa

In the future when money is not an issue, head on out to cabelas and check out the mendle perfek boots. Two years ago I went to the cabelas here in Boise and was prepared for quite an answer to the a question for one of the shoe department guys, I just simply ask him what were the best selling most popular/ comfortable boots they had, he took me over and showed me the perfek boots and as soon as the tax return got here I went and bought a pair and I can honestly say that they are truely everything he said they were, never in my life have I had a pair of boots that were more comfortable to wear and kept my feet warm. I have a pair of older boots, but am not sure of the size, they are at least a 12 or 13, not the best but the price would be right. Let me know if all else fails.

Just so you know who these boots are meant for. My son Alec last Nov with his fist buck when he was a lot shorter:

PS the other boy in the picture started high school at 4"11 and is now 6'.

I wear wolverine foresters and love them bass pro has the uninsulated on sale for 59.99 and you might get lucky on amazon finding insulated ones for the same money they are so comfy warm and dry

Thanks again guys, looks like he will be good to go. Have two pairs lined up that will help cover a little growth during the season which I expect.

PS Yeah he made a great shot on that whitetail also. Will be back up there for Thanksgiving week with all three son's, which will be special since my oldest just signed up for the Air Force and expects to ship to basic around January. We are heading out at the end of the week to try and get the youngest his first elk. Looks like we will pack in. Good times!
