Books For Sheep Hunters

Lets hear of a few of the good sheep hunting reads out there. Some good reads of mine are; V. Geist, Mountain Sheep,a study in behavior and evolution, Tony Russ, Sheep Hunting in Alaska, Proceeding from the Northern Wild Sheep and Goat Council, What are some more good ones? Cheers Ramchaser

Quest for Dall Sheep, by Jack Wilson. Can get from FNAWS. Jack was the one who flew Swank into the headwaters of the Chitna River when Swank took the world record. The story is in the book. Jack was one of the best bush pilots ever in Alaska.

Skyline Pursuits, by John Batten. From Amwell Press, you can get the trade edition, call 908 638-9033. Is a cronicle of Johns hunts over a 50 career. After O'conner died John had hunted sheep longer than anyone else. This is one of the best books I have ever read, right up there with Ruarks, Horn of the Hunter. Enjoy!!
