I have never been to the books. I will be going tonight at midnight so I can get there by first light. What canyon or town or road is the best point to access the mountain from on the green river side.

How far do the deer move from the summer range compared to the Muzzy hunt.

Any help would be appreciated

Take the Westwater exit between the town of Green River, UT and the Colorado line. Make your way up either Hay Canyon or East Canyon and you are there.

Muzzy hunt the deer will still pretty much be in the same areas they are now. The archery pressure along with the rubbing of velvet will likely change their behavior some and push them onto some of the secondary ridges, but they will be in pretty much the same spots. A little tougher to find during the muzz vs. archery, but should be close. Your scouting will have value.

There is no such thing as a sure thing in trophy mule deer hunting.

Hunt up high and take some pictures to post on here.
Good Luck.
