I always try to peice together how long before a buck sheds his antlers does he bleed from his pedicles. It can be hard to tell depending on snow, terrain and every buck is different of course. I have seen a couple bucks, especially the big guys have blood running down each side of face, to shoulders and down legs immediately AFTER shedding. Does anyone have any pen raised deer that are watched a little closer to pinpoint when bleeding occurs. I am thinking a few days lightly to heavily (sometimes) hours before and after. Thanks.
