Should Blazer vanes be applied with the most helical the shaft will allow, like a soft 4 in vane? Thanks.

Yes, but due to the short length you can't put much helical on it. just make sure you get good contact to the shaft.

I agree, put as much as the diameter of your arrow will allow. It's hard to see the helical but it's there, you just don't have 4" of vane to show it.
If you use a straight offset you can actually get more offset because you don't have to worry the last 2" of the vane missing the shaft.
