Look on the Taxidermy site. There are 3 mounted cougars from Colorado. One of them is a beautiful high gloss black. I never knew they came that way either. But it's sure worth looking at.
 
I saw a black cow elk a couple times in CO and no it wasn't muddy also saw a black antelope in WY they are very cool.It's call melonistic{not sure on spelling}

Never was able to get a color pic snapped of him...but these two pics were several weeks apart...
