V8 chainsaws... compensate much? I'm sure Bess is making plans for a chipped coal rolling Cummins powered saw with 55 gallon drums for exhaust at this very moment.


I've never seen anyone cut a whole tree like that last one because I've never seen a chainsaw that would run that long.

Yes I have. Many times. Not in the last 30 years though.

I did some of that in the winter when the woods were shut down. I charged $5.00/hr. "Let's ask crazy Eel, he'll do it."

I didn't have that much rigging though. Everything was free fall and I'm not responsible for where it landed.

Bess I'm pretty sure my days with chainsaws are over. Hopefully anyway. But if I was to get another saw I will take your word on the Stihl. I'm convinced they are way better than any pisscutter I ever struggled with.

Yes, the bigger one is a 50' tape for when he bucks the tree into logs. The little silver one on his left side is for measuring the diameter of the logs. He writes it down and gets paid by the amount of volume. (scale)
