My dad drew this tag and I'm trying to determine where to stay. Looks like Pinedale is going to be the closest but wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas that could be closer or better. If Pinedale is the best option any recommendation on lodging would be appreciated.

Not sure but I would suggest you decide very soon before it's to late if it isn't already.
It's been a few years but the last time I was up in that area Antelope Hunting I couldn't find a room in Lander or riverton to save my life.

Hunted Elk up there last year.

Don't remember much outside of pinedale.

Lots of people pulled campers up to the base of the mountains though but I assume you'd be doing that if it was an option.

Best of luck!

Pinedale would be your best option if you are unable to camp out there. 130 is a good tag and will produce some great deer if you are patient. As for lodging options in Pinedale I would suggest either cozy cabins that has already been mentioned, the hampton, the baymont, or high country suites which have dinets in the rooms so you wouldn't have to go out to eat.

Yes pinedale would be best for more options to stay at. All the mentioned places would be fine. I'd be getting booked in which ever place ya decide on but really don't think you will have any problem getting a room since oilfield slowed way down. Good Luck and hope to see some pics!!!

Thanks everyone for the lodging information. I know that I need to be as late in the season as possible for the best odds or pray for weather. Unfortunately this is one of those years where you draw too many tags for the amount of time you get to hunt so we will be limited to the number of days due to travel time and a moose hunt for my son.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-25-16 AT 03:12PM (MST)[p]Somehow I must have missed this place about 2 years ago when going to Pinedale for a Lope hunt in Sept.

Pinedale Cozy Cabins looks great. Just go to Google.com and type in name and you can look for your self and nice clean cabins. We stayed in a nice Motel out at west end of Pinedale next to a big gas station and it was very good and not that expensive.
