i'm not a die hard shed hunter[ i think i am now] but i just try and get out a couple times a year and just got lucky. i did see 3 other bulls the night before still packing both sides. 2 were 6 points but it was snowing and i was looking at 1/2+mile away, so it was hard to tell how good they were. i'm still pretty jacked about it!

Awesome,Dude!! I'm like you, a few times a year. I got hooked in 2005, fround a total of 10 elk sheds that year; one match.
I like to hike in different areas, so it's just dumb luck for me.This year, only one shed, but it was huge; almost 5' tall; probably belonged to a bull in the 390" range. Good luck-find some more!!

great sheds killerbee.... I really like the first ATL of the monster side. That split G2 acted just like a kickstand.

Good luck finding more in there.... always nice to see Oregon bone on here!

they are pretty recognizable. i had a guy tell me that the bull was hanging out last year back and forth from 2 big private ranches. and a piece of public land. interesting to get a little history on him. but he was a long ways away from there when he dropped his horns so idont know. supposedly one of the ranchers has a picture i hope to see.

The first big set I found in 2005 was about 300" set. I was pretty excited. I showed my wife, and remarked," I wonder what these are worth?" She looked on e-bay, there were two sets much bigger than mine, they were asking $200- $250 for bid. She said,"Sell!Sell!"... "are you kidding?!!" was my reply. Your set is unique, I'd consider a skull plate mount for them.. you might later you ever parted with them, if you did sell. I know if I found a set like yours, you'd never see me part with them!!Again, awesome find!!

I have to let you know I'm sitting her with a broke down horse trainer with four kids of which one was suprise and a preachers daughter. It's a small world. Incredibe sheds. I find thirty to forty bull sheds a year just east of you. We will have to get togethor.
