Dad and I went Montezuma Quail hunting this past weekend and came across one side of this big 6x6. We were hoping the match was nearby and just our luck, about fifty yards down the ridge from where we found the first one, the match was lying under a bush. We ended up killing only one quail, but the sheds sure made the trip. Elk won't start shedding in Southern NM for about a another month. Can't wait to get out and find some brown bone when they do!
