Big Desert Unit Elk help

My buddy drew in the Big Desert unit for cow elk. He went out today to the north and around to Carey. Didn't see a thing. Any help would be appreciated.

further south? instead of headed north from where, I think the elk are very scattered this year to much water, they are not limited to drinking from cattle troughs.

If Carey was starting or even ending up point, the majority of elk and or shed's we have seen out there deer hunting have been on middle to south end of of 52-a . On Western side.
