These guys were busted in Yellowstone for gathering these antlers. $3500 each I have heard. Look at the picks and you can tell. Also they admitted and were convicted, one missed his daughters first birthday because he was sitting in jail. And you give him an award????????

Huck, You think Founder knew about this? Why slam him with a cheap shot for for rewarding people to send in pictures? How do you know they were charged/Convicted? (Im not calling you a liar, but Founder would NEVER support that had he known before hand)

Well from the looks of the pictures and dates on the pictures they would have had to take the sheds off of the pack frames for every picture.
There are guys that go into the park and look for sheds just to take pictures.....these guys could be doing the same....and from the looks of it thats what they were doing.
Is there any proof that these guys were caught?

Matt was caught crossing a river in the park with the antlers attached to his pack frame. Spent a day in jail and a $3500 fine. And as for finding antlers in the park, a blind paraplegic could do it! It is as easy as going onto the refuge and picking them up. I will try and get the arrest record from the park ranger from Silver Gate that told me.

I've noticed a LOT of posts/pictures of guys showing off sheds & heads they found in the Park on this forum & elsewhere on this site. If you've spent any time at all in Jellystone it's pretty easy to see where they are...not to mention the fact that there are a butt-load of BIG bleached out bones & wolf/winter kills like that in one area! Where else are you going to find that many big antlers & racks, besides a fenced ranch or Canada's parks? The dates on the bottom of the photos kinda give it away too! Funny stuff, but still cool to see bones of that caliber. Just don't get caught!
