Best Way to Mount Sheds

I wondered what the best way to mount sheds was? How much would a taxidermist charge me to do it? I thought about just buying one of those plaques for mounting skull-plates and doing it myself but I would want it to look nice and I don't want to screw up on a nice set. Thanks for any info/ideas.

i have mounted a few sets of mule deer antlers this way:

i get a small piece of metal approx. 1"x4" 3/16" thick. cut 2 pieces of 1/4" allthread 3" long. weld allthread to the metal plate at approximate width of deers antlers and on the appropriate angle. drill 1/4" holes in the base of the antlers so that the antlers will slide down over the allthread. once you have made sure the antlers are in the correct location pull them off the allthread. coat the all thread with an epoxy glue and replace the antlers. let the glue dry completely. once the antlers are mounted they can be adjusted alittle bit. the allthread will move slightly with some force. mount on a wood plack with one of those felt covers.

if you don't have the means to make this bracket yourself, you can have any place that welds make a few of these for you for pretty cheap. high school students that are in a welding class always need projects. they will likely do these for free.

This is a pic of the sheds I had mounted I have since learned how to do it and is relatively easy. If you want prices I paid 120 to have my set done. if i were to do it for someone I would charge 90-95 depending on what they wanted done.

I seen somewhere where a guy had got a replica skull for a set of antlers of a deer he had shot. He then attached the antlers to the skull using a variety of epoxys and ferring compounds. Painted the skull an off white color then cut out a piece of wood in the shape of the state in which the deer was taken routered and painted nicely. Then took the casing from the rifle and embedded this into a position in the state about where he had shot the deer.Mounted the skull on a matching colored piece of wood in the shape of the usual mounting pad and this could either hang on the wall or sit on a desk or table. I wish I could remember where I seen it as it really looked great.
