An elipsis only has three dots, ie ..., not four.
The use of an elipsis in your sentence was an obvious, although failed, attempt at dramatic effect. A comma might have been more grammatically correct. However, the use of the preposition "for" was still effectively at the end of the sentence and therefore incorrect.
