Bear hunting in the snow.

Have a question for all you bear Hunters. If it snows and the snow covers up the greenup will the bears stay high or drop down below snow level to get to the green grass? Or will they just dig down through the snow and eat the green grass? it will only drop 6 inches of snow at the most.
