Bear hunt video....

My neighbor's first bear. I believe he is hooked.. His wife did the video for him on youtube. We had a blast.....

She edited the video. Tim had to sit there for over 6 minutes till this bear turned. Was very proud of him for his composure. He will be my bear hunting pardner from now on.

What do you mean? Looked like you guys were pretty close on that sidehill and he never knew you were there. That is awesome! Plus you got it on video!

Sorry Nick took it another way. Usually set up for a 40- 60 yd rifle shot. But I bow hunt and this was Tims first hunt on bears and his biggest animal. I usually set up tree stands but like the ground hunting to. Tim wants to hunt next year with a bow. I told him we can do that.
I set bait up on the bottom of a canyon on one side or the other and sit up on a side hill for wind purposes. Blows up canyon when we go in but it blows slightly up the ridge and to the top. About 7 pm it changes direction and starts to blow down and this bait is set up with a logging road below where we set up. Scent will blow and stay above logging road, Is weird but works. Had a bear come behind me about 6-7 yrs ago on this bait and he was 10' away and he hit road and turned and ran. Was pretty wild never worrying to look behind me.
