BC,
I didnt mean that selling the antlers was worth the time it took finding them, although they can be!! Check out these 3 current Ebay auctions.

A total of (6) yes, six antlers that will probably have an ending price nearing $15,000.00. Thats $2500.00 per single antler. Some pretty spendy bone, so they CAN BE worth BIG $. I know a jerk from my area that bragged about his new quad he paid for in 2 weeks of picking up bone from the back of it.
What I meant was the "hunting" industry, which is now interlaced with the "shed hunting" industry is a big market. Not necessarily selling the antlers, but almost the "braggin rights" so to speak. Product endorsements, gear, ADVERTISING ON WEBSIGHTS, magazines and videos!!! The rise or fall of somones reputation can mean the increase or decline of the $ they have brought in because of their reputation. Its been a while since I saw OJ Simpson do any commercials for Hertz rental cars. Go figure.
I dont sell bone anymore. I used to when I was a kid and when I could put in a hard days hike or horse ride and pick up antlers that had been laying for months. (To help pay for a little gas and some better binoculars.) Now, its rare to find ANY antlers in the same areas. I do find scooter trash tracks. A few weeks ago (in one of my lifelong favorite shed hunting spots) I could still see tire tracks from a 4-wheeler and a motorcycle that were made in the spring of 04 two miles from the end of a closed road. I know because I was waiting at the road that day to confront the jerks I saw make them. UGLY!!!
Its so rare to find anything anymore, when I do I keep it. BONE IS WORTH ALOT OF MONEY. REPUTATIONS ARE WORTH EVEN MORE!!!
More Mistakes, less Money!
