Well we made it through the blizzard. The first week of this hunt was interesting to say the least, but I will not complain about the results at all. As most of you know it got down right nasty out there for a couple of days and opening day was not the most desireable hunting weather. Although I know of at least two sheep taken on opening day in the area we were hunting. I will keep it short and sweet because I am not much of a story teller. We did what we could the first two days of the hunt with day 2 involving staying warm and gathering firewood. Day 3 of the hunt the weather was much better but we could not locate any sheep. This was our first day to not see sheep. Feeling good about the spot we had planned on hunting on Friday, day 4, we made our hike up the mountain to glass. Within 20 min. or so Jordan (hunting partner and friend) spotted a group of sheep with a really nice ram. We had two tags to fill so Don (newly made hunting partner and friend) and I made our mile and a half stalk to within shooting distance. Meantime Jordan nocated two more rams in the group which were shooters as well. Once we made it to the predertermined ambush piont we lost radio como and had to use our instincts on were the sheep may be at the time. We were unable to locate the two other rams and decided to take the biggest ram and Don found a ewe that looked good to him. As usually happens the two other rams showed themselves after all was said and done but we were still happy with the results. Don's ewe measures right at 18" with my ram measuring at 29" on the right and 27 6/8" on the left. Good hunting to the rest of you out there.

By the way, the cut in is left rear quarter is not a bullet hole. While I was cutting the meat I found that he was gouged all the way through his leg and I found what I belive to be the tip of another horn on the inside of his thigh. Major dammage on the inside of the quarter!!

Way to go.It sounds like quite a few sheep hit the ground this week from the guys I've talked to. Congrats on your double good job.

>You guys did good.
