After glassing this bachelor herd up from a long ways off, we decided to get a little closer and try to get some footage. The plan came together perfectly and the herd stayed pretty tight together.

Kind of funny to see these bulls feeding together, enjoying each others company...then thinking that they will kicking the snot out of each other over the opposite sex soon enough.

I hunted the Monroe unit in Utah last year and I ran into a bachelor herd of bulls like this at the end of September.

Imagine a bachelor herd of 5 bulls during the peak of the rut with no cows around. When I bugled at them, they cow called back to me.........I guess not all of these bulls will be fighting for the girls. It is a strange world we live in.
