Backpacking the uintas with kids

All right I'm taking the kids backpacking into the uinta mountains. Every year I plan this but seem to default to the roadless book cliffs. Here's what I'm looking for if anyone has advice. I don't know a whole lot about the Uinta mountains. I'm trying to keep it under 3 miles because we will have little kids. I'm looking for a little stream and lake but preferably stream to fish on. Doesn't matter if the fish are big, I just want the kids to catch some. I would love to go somewhere in the uinta West Mountain Goat area or the uinta Central Mountain goat area, as I will draw a tag in the next few years in one of these units. I would love to get an idea of the country up in there. Please let me know of any recommendations, PM me if you prefer. Thanks!

Notch Lake is a great option for backpacking with kids. Not a long hike and decent fishing although the water level was very low last year (still caught some fish including a grayling). I have taken my kids to that lake a couple of times. I am not sure what Mtn Goat unit it is in though.

Friday night we got I'd dare say and inch of rain in 15 min.

The MTN, is in surprisingly good shape. Lots of water considering. Hopefully that continues

I did a thread on the Bowsite and although it is just 1 young-un, they do get tired, and I don't know if backpacking is better than just camping and day hiking out??
