B & C Escalante Ram

Congratulations to Paul Anderson, of Ogden, who took this huge 171 pt. desert ram on the Escalante Unit in Utah this weekend. Paul hunted with High Desert Wild Sheep Guides and spent many days preparing for this very physically demanding hunt in the rugged canyon country of southern Utah. What a toad for Utah!

The biggest ram taken in the Escalante was taken by Doug Marx about ten years ago with Brett Caldwell. It dried at 168 and some change. The ram you are looking at will probably not quite finish at 168.
