My first deer ever...With my Mathews LX. Took it in Chihuahua, MX with Chihuahua Rough Country Outfitter, a great group of people and beautiful country. This is the very first Couse Deer taken on this ranch with a bow, AND this is also the first kill ever by a woman hunter. Shot this guy on the 3rd day while sitting in my Double Bull Blind with my husband next to me. The day before we saw 25 deer and 100+ Goulds Turkey! I shot him at 9:15 a.m. he was the 15th deer to come in that morning. An AWESOME experience, would go back in a heartbeat. Was 2 weeks ago and I already miss my new found friends and Rufina's wonderful cooking! I want to go back and get one of the Goulds with my bow.

Man, I was getting ready to post a picture of Chef's dog again. Wrong chihuahua I guess. Nice pictures though.

Nice buck, congrats!!
That gobbler is awesome, both beard & spurs are huge!!!
Let us know if you go back and hammer one of those birds!! :7

Any coues is a trophy, but a coues with a bow is something to really behold!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Congrats on a great looking deer ! Sounds like you had a real good hunt , way to let the air out . Did your hubby get a deer as well ? Those double bull blinds are pretty nice , I just wished they were a little less pricey...Thanks for sharing....NMHUNTNUTT

What part of chihuahua did you kill it in?? Most of my family is from chihuahua city from my moms side. How much did you pay to hunt there? Is there any mulies in that part of mexico? I would love to do an archery hunt in chihuahua.

My husband did not hunt, he came as an observer, filmer, photographer, calm me down when I'm shaking too bad and for moral support. :) We hunted Southwest of Nuevo Casa Grande, the outfitters company is called Chihuahua Rough Country Outfitters. I bought the hunt at a SCI auction but I believe the hunts run around $3800 for a 6 day hunt (I could be off on that). It was worth every cent I paid, we had so much fun. There are no mulies in that exact area, but I know closer to Nuevo Casa Grande there are. If you are interested we did have a U.S. Outfitter that took us down, I can give you his name and # if you like.

NICE coues buck.....congratulations! One of the toughest animals to arrow, IMO. Thanks for posting it up for us.
