I am planing a work trip into British Columbia, Canada

I want to take our side by side ATV. My Question is:

Has anyone taken their ATV across the border and will the border patrol give me grief. It will be registered and in a horse trailer while transporting.

Archery is a year round commitment!!

They are not to bad. I usually catch more grief coming back to the states. I go 4 to 5 times a year to fish and see friends.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-24-09 AT 08:27PM (MST)[p]I would call both sides of the border that you are crossing at and see what is needed. Every fall I sell a half dozen snowmobiles to canadians and they need a lot of proper documentation. If they don't have it all at the border they will hold the machines for 72 hours from when they get the documentation. Of course they are importing sleds and not just crossing back and forth. Point is, there are requirements and I would make sure you are 100% prepared so you don't end up hauling a trailer and end up leaving it at the border for your trip. Good luck.

Make sure to wash it really good before you go. they won't want weed seed from the states.
