Nothing irrates me more than seeing a bunch of lazy azzes on their wheelers going through the winter range on the wheelers looking for sheds off road , just ripping up the hillsides .

I was going through the Utah Courts fine structure which is on line , looking for some other information when I came across some thing interesting .

The fine for riding a ATV crosscountry on public land is $ 300 bucks . Also if you are caught a second time with in 5 years the fine goes up to $ 1,000 .

Hopefully that will get some peoples attention , and keep them on the road where they belong . On the other side I encourage every body that sees ATV's off road to call in and report the violations .

After you remove 4 valve stems! Then you have real proof of them doing it and nothing is ruined on the bike!!!!

I agree hornkiller , and I keep waiting for the day when I find a parked one off the road where I shed hunt . My problem is I have never found a parked machine , they all have been running with some lazy jerk behind the steering wheel .

The last encounter I had was some dude comes riding up to me across about a half a mile of sagebrush . I had a couple of sheds on my day pack , and he had a few on his front four wheeler rack . Also sitting on the rack was I'm guessing his kid , about a 11 year old boy .

He wheels up to me and asks how the shed hunt was goin ? I'm usually pretty good when there is kids around , and can bite my tongue . This guy just rubbed me wrong and I let him have it , and his kid heard some very graphic words that I'm sure aged him about 10 years .

I know of a few guys last year down on the Dixie that got the regular ticket and then a few thousand more topped onto it in resource damage. Thats what they are going for now rather than just a few hundred dollar ticket you pay for what you rip up and however long it takes to rake it back in and seed it. Not a good idea to off road. No matter what there will be somebody who keeps this off roading crap up who gets all our ATV's permantley removed from even being in your truck loaded on public land eventually. Which sux keepem on the road. Good job Foundation for delivering a well deserved azz chewing.
