ATV tire advice

After 12 years with the same stock tires on my Polaris 500, I'm in much need of new tires.

What are some good choices for an all around 6 ply tire.

I've seen good reviews on the Kenda Bear Claw.

I'm looking at getting 26x11-12 on the back and 26x9-12 on the front.

Any thoughts or advice?

LOL justr!

I Put 26"ers on My Polaris 500!

It Only Gains you a 1/2" More Clearance but you'd be amazed that 1/2" makes!

I Found a Guy that had a New Set of Take-offs that saved me a Chunk of Change!

I've Broke the POLARIS'S Back!

Lost a CV Boot!

The Vent Line on the Gas Tank needs Replaced!

Always Something!

I Like the Ride of the Polaris!

But it's Built out of a Bunch of JUNK F'N Metal that won't Hold up!

The original bear claws have a fairly soft sidewall, and pretty shallow tread depth. The new htr fixes both those issues. You could also check your loacal classifieds for a take off set from a Polaris ranger, they mostly come with those exact sizes.

Thanks for the reply Elkass.

I'm a little disappointed with the lack of responses.

Maybe ole Bess has everyone scared to admit they drive an ATV.

I'm also thinking about getting the Tusk Mud Force.
Anyone know anything about the Tusk brand?

Yea, what Tony said.

I'm surprised they lasted so long and did not develop huge sidewall cracks.

We've Run a few sets of these!

Sidewalls tougher than most 1/2 ton Truck tires!

You'll Lose a little of the Nice Polaris Ride though!

ITP XTR MUDLITE RADIALS!

EDIT:When You've went as Far as You can go with these!

You can Chain Up & You're Not going any further!

We've tried it!

Actually those mud lites were right there in my top 5 choices to decide on.
They are a bit harder on the wallet though.

Where not afraid of old Bessy ! I have been using Big Horns and not the light weight version
. But I haven't had to change them in years. Still going strong.

With enough RPMs, you could probably drive on water with those baby's!

Tires on an atv are disposable, like changing the oil. It's not a highway vehicle you look at traction, they're all going to last about the same depending on riding style. Sounds like you're riding style isn't very aggressive.
