Any one try these out? Would they be considered a mechanical head, not sure this would be considered a fixed blade? This is how Wa. reads in 2005 for there broad head rule
"unlawful to hunt with a broadhead
blade unless the broadhead is
unbarbed and completely closed to the
back end of the blade or blades by a
smooth, unbroken surface starting at
maximum blade width forming a
smooth line toward the feather end of
the shaft and such line does not angle
toward the point. Retractable styled
broadheads are illegal."

The ATOM head is a replaceable blade type head and not a mechanical. (Fixed blade=traditional style heads, Magnus, etc.) With the defination you've posted, it appears the head would be legal to use in your state.

I've tested this head and was not overly impressed, especially for the money involved. There are many other heads out there that work well at a much reduced cost. Just my .02. Good luck and have fun.

Thnx for your input BOHNTR.
When you tested the Atom what did not impress you? Lack of penitration, did the fly funny, durability, overall the head it self is a poor design, or it just cost to much damm money?
