From distance, rear shed appears to be an elk shed?

You are right. It is a matching set. We spotted the one in the sage brush (more difficult find) from about 500yds away through our binos. We couldn't see the match because of the angle, even though it was right out in the middle of the meadow.
It is always exciting to be surprised and walk up on a set no more than 15yds apart.
