Though there may still be a lingering vote, it doesn't appear that assault weapons will be a part of any gun-control legislation... Pick your source:

Too late for New York though.
NO aws NO private sales w/o bc (even to relatives!), NO ammo w/o bc, NO magazines over 7 rounds (try to find those for your AR) If you have an AR you need to register with the state!
It may get thrown out in court but much grief and angst in the mean time.

They'll never give up until ALL guns are outlawed. Must have felt the time wasn't right.......yet!

Hope the voters don't forget this effort come 11/14.

Interesting to see if there will a party swing in Colorado after their "Gay" marriage law, gun control law, etc. got passed.
