I love this site for the pictures we share and stories we hear. So lets get away from the negative and share the positive. Heres a few as they lay pics from this spring.
now this is why i visit this site everyday after school and right before i hit the hay. i love getting on here and seeing these "as they lay" photographs. i think we are all sick and tired of all the b*tching and moanin. lets try to keep this site clean and focused on hunting.
thanks you for posting these pictures. keep them coming.
LAST EDITED ON May-11-06 AT 07:50AM (MST)[p]Thanks guys. life is good when you get to the hills, and even better when you find some bone. Heres a few more as they lay and others.
This first pic was this 9 year olds first shed. She snatched it up before we could get a ground picture. A month later I found the match (3rd pic in 1st post) and gave it to her. She now has a set.
This is a 85 inch shed found by BucksNducks. If we find the match Sat I'll post 3 years of sheds from this buck next week.
This is the first shed I've ever seen fall off a buck. He jumped across the road in front of us and it hit the ground. You can see where it hit and kicked up snow.
And finally some close ups of the girls set and the bigger set from the first post. Enjoy.
Although I didn't find this shed, I thought you'd like to see it. It has a 24 inch spread from the G2 to the tip of the main beam. How many singles can you say that about? It also has a 16inch(?) inline and a gross score of 103. It would get the full 27 inch main bean spread credit and if matched would be 38+ wide and score in the low 230's
A month or so ago my buddy Clint picked up this shed from a buck we have 3 years of sheds to.
Sat, I had several friends lend a hand trying to match it as well as a few others. The kids whupped the olds guys on this trip finding dang near all the sheds. My boy Garrett was the lucky bugger, finding the match only 15 yards from the truck, and nearly 400 yards from the first side
.
The boys really did give us a whoopin' didn't they! I'm sure glad Garrett found one of the antlers you've been after though. It really is unbelievable that you've been fortunate enough to have found so many years of so many great bucks! It was funny to see how excited the boys were to have beat us old farts like they did. My 6 year old will never let me live it down. First thing he said to his mom when we got home was, "Mom guess what! I found more antlers than dad did!!!"
If he keeps it up I'm going to have to ground him...
