I am up in the air as to which arrow to give a try this year. Gold Tip pros or Easton Axis? Any suggestions.

I'm a big fan of the gold tips. Very durable arrow. I have not shot the axis arrows, but a buddy shot them last year and said they were very brittle. He worked part time at a bow shop. He said he spun 12 dozen arrows before he found 12 perfect arrows. He said they won't be in his quiver this year.

The Gold Tip Pros are straighter and I believe the weight tolerance is better as well. I have shot Gold Tips for years and have always been very happy with them. The tune very easily and group very well. I robinhooded one about three hours ago at 30 yards.

I like the Easton Axis. They for me at least have seemed more durable than Goldtip. I really like the smaller OD and think is hlps with penatration. The HIt system on the Axis is really nice too. Getting broadheads aligned with the HIT system is a snap.

I think I am going to stick with the Gold Tips. They have been good to me in the past. They are by far the strongest arrow I have ever shot. I am interested in the HIT system, but I may wait till next year to try them out.

That's weird about the weight difference you mention. I've personally weighed hundreds of gt arrows. Never seen more than a 2 gr difference top to bottom in a dozen arrows. They must of really been sleeping on the job to mess up that bad. Probably made on a Friday.:)

I have shot axis and gold tip and Im leaning towards gold tip... they shoot better for me and I like the speed better... and I m using blazer vanes and they seam to work alot better on the gold tip.

I have shot 3" Arizona's with a strong helical for the last several years. They steer a fixed head just fine.

I am shooting Blazers this year. They are doing well so far.
