I am shooting an AR-34
68# draw weight
29" draw length
gold tip pro hunters 5575
27.5" cut length
125 grn. wac em broadhead
My feild points have been flying great but the other day I started shooting my broadheads and my groups went to hell.I am starting to wonder if I sould be shooting the 7595 arrows. Acording to gold tips spine chart the 5575 should be correct.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are the broadheads all over the place or are they grouping at a different spot than the field points? If they are all over the place then I would suspect how straight the heads are on your arrows. Spin some and make sure there is no wobble whatsoever from the broadhead. Also make sure the arrows you are using for broadheads are the straightest ones of your dozen.

I had the same problem 2 weeks ago with my muzzy's. I went to Red Rock Archery here in Grand Junction and had Gabe-the owner and expert-watch me shoot. I shot two groups, he had me turn my limb bolts half a turn DOWN, and shoot again... Problem solved, and only lost 3 pounds of draw wieght so I only had to adjust my 40 and 50 yard pins, and only a tiny bit at that. You might give it a try if your spin test is good. If nothing else it will keep you from spending $80+ prematurely.

I am not familiar with that bow, is it one cam or two? Sounds like your bow is out of tune to me.

The broadheads are all over the place. there isnt any pattern that I ca see

If your field points are grouping well, and it is paper tuned, and the broadheads are all over the place then I still think it has something to do with how straight the broadheads are on the shafts or the shafts themselves. Make sure your using the straightests shafts of the doz to shoot broadheads with. The broadheads need to be straight on the shaft and not wobble when spun. Also make sure your form is ok. Field points are pretty forgiving to form mistakes or even equipment problems but stick a broadhead on the end and everthing becomes more critical to form and equipment.

I think your shafts are fine, I believe those GT have a +/-.003 straightness, even the "bent" ones wouldn't be noticed. Do check that your b-heads are straight on the shaft though. Your spine should be fine also, but maybe wouldn't hurt to try the 7595, I always go for a slightly heavier arrow anyway, it has many advantages even though you lose a little speed.
If all else fails, it may just be a case of some b-heads not flying well out of certain setups. I have heard good things about the Wac'ems though.

Thanks for all the input, As far as I can tell the broadheads are spining true I cant see any wobble in them.I'll try shooting them again and concentrate on form. Maybe I'll borrow a freinds 7795 arrow and shoot it with my broadheads and see if that makes any diffrence.

Did you try bumping it down half a turn yet? One of the guys I shoot with just went through the same thing as you and I have: he turned it down, and once again problem solved. It' not how your bow is tuned. It has to do with the center of gravity of your arrow with a broadhead which typically makes the overall arrow length a little longer than a with a field point, which...you guessed it--changes the center of gravity thus affecting the spine of your arrow. Let me know if you try it whether it works or not.
