Arizona 13A

Anyone out there ever tried the 13A early muley hunt on the Strip? Ive been putting in for points a few years for the rifle hunt but would like to hunt the Strip before I draw (which may be never!). I'm sure it's a tough hunt but just looking for anyone who's tried it to see what they saw/thought of it. Waste of time or what? Thanks, FAB.

I think you are talking about the over the counter archery tags? If so I could be wrong but this is the first time they have opened 13a for archey tags, usually it is only unit 12

13A has been open to OTC archery for quite a few years now.......TOUGH unit to locate bucks consistently during that time of year, but they are there. Also a Lot hotter than up on the plateau. Takes quite a bit of scouting, but it can be done. Don't expect to see bucks everyday, but generally when you do see one it's a good one.

Yeah I figured it's a tough hunt but it might be fun to try it next year. If nothing else I'll get some peace and quiet away from home. Thanks for the responses. FAB.
