Arghh!!!!....Missed sheds!

I searched and searched for this antler last year and couldn't find it. Went out the other day and found it 50 yds from the where I found the other side last year! I can't believe i missed it. It was in sight of the one I found. The grass was pretty tall last spring when I found the one side and I must have walked within a few yds of it several times and didn't see it. Just goes to show you shouldn't give up on one.

I now have found this bucks antlers for the last 4 yrs. Time will tell if he made it through another. The only antler I don't have over the last 4 yrs is one he had broke off just before it forked on the main beam. I had seen him when he was still packing it around.

Kind of cool to see the growth progression. Also strange how he went from the right antler being N.T. to the left.

I had also missed his antler on the second yr of finding them and picked it up the next spring.

It really amazing how close you can be and not find a shed. Great finds. It is cool to have that many years of the same buck.

Nice to see you are still alive and kicking. Awesome buck man thats really awesome to see those sheds like that. Did you ever get any pictures of him with the horns on his head. those would be awesome to see. Keep it up man. Hey man i had a question about the big wide buck if you want to hit me with a PM.

Nice job finding all of those sets of the same buck, hopefully we'll be seeing this year's set as well. Looks like hes a heck of a deer.

Have the exact same story......found a perfect 77" whitetail last year (my biggest) and about killed myself looking for the other side. 3 days ago I found the match,not in too bad of shape...I had walked within 30ft. of this shed last year...it was almost 1/2mi. away from the first. So much for the theory of "if it's big it should be pretty close to the other horn" If I can't find him again this year(he's still alive)....I'll mount this set up

Garrett- It's kind of funny, the only time I have actually seen this buck with antlers is the year he had busted the one side off. Glad I did see him too cause I would have driven myself crazy looking for that one. Who knows I may still find it. I hope he made it through another season.
