area 27 Moose

Wondering how the moose are doing in the southwest corner of the state, specifically area 27. Would like to go back maybe in the next few years to hunt Moose. I have 5 points now, used to hunt for Mulies along time ago. Love that country. Anyone famalier with it?

I have this tag this year. Lots of private ground. More than I thought. If you just want to kill a moose, you should be able to. If you want a trophy bull. May need to be very lucky or go guided. One outfitter I talked to was $4.500 and one $5,500. Two HMA that are fair at best for Moose. Most of the big moose come off private land. Still getting what info I can get. I live only two hours from the unit. Will be scouting soon. Good luck, Greg

I have lived in this corner of the state my whole life, we went hunting for moose six years in a row with various friends and family members, if your looking for a big one wait till the last couple weeks of the season, the moose come down out of utah pretty heavy about the beginning of November.
