So I drew out on Wyoming elk. I'm a nr. Is there a certain deadline is to when I need to buy my archery permit so I can hunt with a bow in September? Also, can you just buy your habitat stamp anytime or is there a deadline? I was going to call the game and fish tomorrow, but figured someone on here would probably know as good as anyone, thanks.

It's very simple to do them right online and print them both out right at home so there is no mailing involved like your license/tag. Good luck on your hunt!

Topgun is right.
It's simple.
I jumped online and got my archery permit and conservation stamp before my moose hunt so I wouldn't have to track them down once I arrived in the State to scout.
Either way works but online worked best for me.
Have a great hunt!

Starting in 2016, there will be a lifetime archery license offered for both R and NR hunters I believe. I'm 99% sure the legislation passed this session.

That sounds interesting buzz, I'll keep an eye out for that, thanks.

Any idea what that will cost?

HB135, and its only going to apply for Residents. I thought at one time the bill would cover both R and NR, but I was either wrong about that or it was amended.

The cost for the lifetime Archery license for residents will be $200.

I don't believe the bill has been signed by the Governor yet, but it passed both the House and Senate.

I think you're right about the NR's part being amended out of the bill. At one time, I think I read that NR's were included on the bill. (not at the same price, of course)
