Archery Deer this year in AZ

So now that the opening weekend is complete, anybody take any deer or turkey with thier bows in AZ? Let see some pics and stories

i struck out this weekend. didnt even see any deer! chased some turkey around but didnt get a shot. saw a nice big bear though.
hopefully the kaibab will pay off for me.

Nothing for me. We seen Deer every day though. Had an opportunity at a nice 3X4 Sunday morning but the doe that he was with caught me moving in closer. Elk are starting to bugle on the Rim BTW.

Cazador... I am really not concerned about the Deer.. but more concerned about the elk that you heard. What area were you in this past weekend where they were bugleing? I have read on another post that there were starting to make some noise in 5b North, just wondering if they are making any noise in 7 or 8 yet.

We saw a few bucks this year. A friend of mine shot a small two point. I saw one nice 25" 4x4 but he busted me as soon as I saw him. Missed two shots at turkeys over forty yards, running. Man that was fun though.

Be honest cazador, it was a doe with some branches behind its head. You draw a rifle tag this year?

We were hunting off of the Young road off highway 260 on top of the Rim. I would guess that would make it either Unit 23 (very north) or 3C (extreme west). I talked to several other guys out there and they are hearing them bugle as well. We had a herd of 30-40 hanging out within 1/4 mile of our camp. My Dad was driving through Forest Lakes Friday night and two bulls were fighting in the middle of the highway! That would have been nice to capture on video....

What's up man?! Have not heard from you in awhile. I drew one of those coveted 30B Coues Whitetail tags.

I actually know where to hunt this unit that has the deer so this is why I decided to take a couple of left over permits. How about you, did you draw? I may be back up this weekend to see if I can get into these two bucks we were chasing around all weekend.
