anyone use a Spot Connect??

anyone have one of them Spot Connect i was thinking of getting one so my family won't worry so much when I'm out in the middle of Gods Country with no cell service for days on end. for what i understand you can text update Facebook and Twitter I'm guessing its not in real time just wanted to hear from real outdoors people not sales people..

If your life is on the line take a look at the ACR products. PLB's (personal locator beacons) send an emergency GPS location signal directly to satillites which is received by the emergency responce center in Washington D.C. and then dispatched to the local search and rescue teams... check them out at ACR.com

Anything less will save you some $$$$ but you will need to decide what your life is worth. Many other devices may give you a false sence of security and some contact with the outside world but not save your life in a real emergency.
