Anyone tried the new QAD Ultra-rest?

Has anyone tried the new Ultra - Rest on their setups yet?

Its supposed to be a drop away rest that will hold your arrow during a stalk - without it coming off.

I know it wont be as effective as the bisket in holding it silently but do you think the potential accuracy benefit would be worth it?

thanks!

My brother and I both shoot a Mathews Switchback. I shoot a whisker bisquit and he shoots the QAD ultra rest. I like mine and he likes his a lot. I have heard that the early models had problems in very cold weather, but the new models have supposedly corrected the problem. The nice think about them is that you can put them up without drawing the bow, and if you have to let off without firing, if you do it slowly, the rest stays up. Looks pretty good from what I have seen.

I shot one for a year on my Mathews Conquest and it was OK. Last year I put it on a new Mathews Outback with the roller cable guard and it was horrible, it didn't allow the rest to drop fast enough at times. At 1st I thought it was the bow, I had never shot so poorly. Out of desperation I put my Trophy Taker back on and now I am shooting better than ever. Simplicity is now my moto.

In summary, I think it is to complicated mechanically for hunting. I've got a feeling in wet and freezing weather your looking for trouble.

Just my 2 cents.
